We say au revoir to Dr Joshu Karlsson, who leaves the group this month. Joshu has been with us just a short time working on the ERC SPECTRACON project but has made significant contributions in managing and training users in the spectroscopy lab, as well as several research projects in the TTA-UC and luminescence downshifting work packages.

Sad news for us, but excellent news for Joshua as he will be joining Tampere University in Finland starting September 2023 as a research fellow at the Tampere Institute for Advanced Study (IAS). There he will undertake his first independent research project studying the photostability of light absorbers for emerging solar cells technologies.
