Larissa and Bea present at ICSM 2026 in Rio de Janeiro

This July, Larissa and Bea presented their research at the 27th International Conference on Science and Technology of Synthetic Electronic Materials (ICSM) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Bea’s talk entitled Light-responsive structural control in liquid crystals for solar energy storage and beyond, discussed her recent publication in JACS (https://pubs.acs.org/jacsat/article/147/32/29349/3737792/Phase-Behavior-of-Light-Responsive-Lyotropic). Larissa presented on the Influence of host properties and molecular organisation on triplet-triplet annihilation upconversion, focussing on the group’s work published in ACS Applied Optical Materials earlier this year (https://pubs.acs.org/aaoma6/article/4/4/1169/5141524/Interplay-between-Host-Structure-Oxygen-Quenching).

Beyond their talks, they had a great time catching up with old friends and collaborators, exploring the sights and sounds of Rio, and propping up the dancefloor at the conference dinner! Bom demais!
